Cupid’s Walk

The beautiful Bloedel Reserve, located on Bainbridge Island, is an internationally renowned public garden and forest preserve. The 150 acres consist of a special blend of natural woodlands and landscaped gardens, including Japanese Gardens, a Moss Garden, and a Reflection Pool. On February 13 and February 14, the Reserve invites you and yours to take a romantic walk around the beautiful landscaped gardens. This special map highlights all the best spots to steal a kiss along the trails. Couples will receive a special entry discount.

Love Letters

Prize-winning playwright A.R. Gurney paints a rich portrait of artist Melissa Gardner and politician Andrea Makepeace Ladd III as they navigate through decades of love letters in this hilarious and bittersweet story of two hearts bound together from childhood. Love Letters runs at Bainbridge Performing Arts until February 14 and is presented in a three-cast rotation. The two-person production featured actors Marilyn Dearsley and George Shannon on February 4 and 5; Barbara Deering and John Ellis on February 7 and February 13; and Victoria Brown and Jack Armstrong will play the parts on February 12 and February 14. Tickets are available online.

Winter Rendevouz III

The Winter Rendezvous is a popular Kitsap Peninsula festival that celebrates local boats, eats, vintners, cider houses, distilleries, and more. Running from February 12 to February 14 at historic downtown Poulsbo, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the festival is in its third edition.

The fun begins with a welcoming party at the marina, where there will be live music, food and drinks, and prizes given away to kick off all the fun events happening over the weekend.

The Lovers & Liquors Valentine’s Expo, held on February 13, will feature local chocolatiers, jewelers, and Valentine’s Day-themed gifts. Then, the Glögg Fest will offer free glögg at seven locations throughout downtown, which the public can vote on their favorite. A tour through the delicious world of pickled herring will be held at the Marina Market during the Pickled Herring Expo, along with a taste of the largest selection of licorice in the US. On Saturday, the Historical Society will offer a handful of Downtown Historical Tours in the morning, where visitors learn about the settlers of Poulsbo and the various businesses that have occupied the historical buildings. Artisan shops and exhibitions will be open late until 8:00PM for the 2nd Saturday Art Walk that evening.

And don’t forget about the Winter Rendezvous opening ceremonies! Held at the Austin-Kvelstag Pavilion at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park, the Poulsbo All-Stars Drumline will perform and the Poulsbo Vikings will light the traditional bonfire. Drinks and snacks will be available.

For all your Winter Rendezvous accommodations, book your stay with us here at BEST WESTERN PLUS Silverdale Beach Hotel. We’re conveniently located and have a wide variety of beautiful guestrooms to suit all your needs. We look forward to welcoming you!
