Call us biased, but we’re pretty sure Washington’s Kitsap Peninsula is the most gorgeous place on Earth. We love living here, and we hope you’ll love visiting! Check out some of these upcoming events just in case you need further convincing.

Taking place July 14 and 15 in nearby Port Townsed, the Olympic Music Festival is a celebration of classical music. See up and coming starts like Tessa Lark, one of America’s most acclaimed violinists, or emotionally provocative cellist Pablo Ferrández! This is a remarkable union of natural and musical beauty – check it out!

What could be a better complement to the salty breeze coming off of the Pacific Ocean than a delicious craft brew, lovingly prepared with local ingredients by master brewers? How about your choice of over a 100 beers from 36 Washington breweries? That’s exactly what you’ll get at the 8th Annual Bremerton Summer Beer Fest! Expanded to take place over two days, from July 20 to 21 at the Bremerton Boardwalk, this is your chance to really experience the best that Washington has to offer: great lagers and ales perched against the Pacific! A 21+ event (obviously), this festival also features live music and great food. Don’t miss out.

Of course, when visiting the Kitsap Peninsula you want accommodations that reflect the beauty of the area. Stay at the Best Western Plus Silverdale Beach Hotel and enjoy cocktails at our in-building bar, the Beach Front Martini Lounge, for an elegant way to spend a gorgeous Washington summer evening while watching the waves lap at the shore. Looking for some summer fun? Try your hand at the Great Kitsap Scavenger Hunt, a county-wide activity that’s fun for all ages and a great way to explore the local area! The scavenger hunt takes place on June 24th from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.

Find as many of the items on the list provided the day of the game in the allotted 2-hour window. Just snap a pic with a digital camera or phone to “collect” the item! The scavenger hunt is open to all ages, with those under 18 years old requiring an accompanying adult on their team.

The rules are simple! Your team must stay together at all times - so no dividing and conquering! When you take your photo of the item you “found”, all team members must be visible to prove that everyone was there. Return to the starting point by 3:30 pm and the team who has found the most items/has the highest number of points wins!

Didn’t quite gain the top spot? You have one more chance to beat your competition!  get bonus points by participating in the event after-party at MOD Pizza in Silverdale - just a 20-minute bus ride or 30 minute walk away from Best Western Silverdale Beach.

You must register for the scavenger hunt by June 15th at 6 pm to participate in the game! You can register as an individual for just $10, or register as a team. Register a team of 2 to 4 people for $30, or a team of 5-10 people for just $40. The Great Kitsap Scavenger Hunt is truly a great way to meet locals and visitors and to explore the county of Kitsap while having an amazing time and creating lasting memories.

If your special day is on the way, don’t miss the next Kitsap Wedding Tour happening on May 20th! This is a self-guided, “choose your own adventure” tour where you can explore the Kistap and Olympic Peninsula for inspiration to make your wedding day truly unforgettable.

From 10 am to 5 pm, you’ll get the chance to explore various venue options that are as unique as you and your sweetheart. From expansive waterfront views and lush gardens to shady groves and charming rustic barns, you’re sure to find something that speaks to your heart.

You’ll also get the opportunity to meet the local pros of the wedding industry and even see them in action! Planners, caterers, florists and more will be showing off their skills by creating “wedding day experiences” and various venues during the tour. This means you can meet all the pros without feeling like your already busy schedule is bursting with appointments, plus you get to see their work first-hand to determine the best fit for you – always better than meeting in an office or studio!

Be sure to also check out the tour after party, held at the Kitsap Conference Center from 5 pm to 7 pm. You’ll get to meet other couples, reflect on the tour, and of course celebrate your love and your exciting upcoming day! One lucky guest at the after party will even win a special cash prize – always nice when you’ve got a wedding to plan!

Advance tickets purchased online are just $12 +tax, or $15 at the door at the Kistap Conference Centre on the day of the tour (cash only).
